It was a great month long field investigation over the growth and development of the life cycle of the chick. Each group of students worked with the same chick ,two days a week, and collected data over the height and weight gain, behavioral and physical characteristics, and innate behavior. There were many controlled variables such as temperature, habitat, water and food. The uncontrolled variables that we discovered were the species of the chick, the gender, and also the pecking order for food. The students also completed their analysis by graphing their data, finding averages, medium, and mode.
