It was a great month long field investigation over the height and weight growth of the chick. Each group of students worked with the same chick ,three days a week, and collected data over the height and weight gain, behavioral and physical characteristics, and innate behavior. There were many controlled variables such as temperature, habitat, water and food. The uncontrolled variables that we discovered were the species of the chick, the gender, and also the pecking order for food. The students also completed their analysis by graphing their data, looking for patterns,
finding averages, medium, and mode.
