The 6th graders were beta-testers for the Upper School computer science students this week. Upper School students were assigned a big project: develop and code a game in Java. The 6th graders were instrumental in looking for glitches in the code, while evaluating the game for its graphics, clear instruction and content, ease of use, and entertainment value. The feedback was incredibly helpful for the computer science students and hopefully inspired the 6th graders to keep learning to code! This activity correlated with National Computer Science Education Week, an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science.
